U10 Girls Carnival – Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
January 30, 2018U10 Girls Carnival
Hockey is a great team sport for girls and women, and anyone can play.
Hockey is:
Having fun
Open to everyone
Co-operating with your team mates
Knowing the skills
Exciting and energetic
Young and old players
The game provides great exercise and keeps players active, but the focus is on having fun with friends and learning new skills.
Participation helps to develop hand-eye coordination, agility and balance, while promoting stamina and endurance. Team sport promotes confidence for participants and the development of fair play and respect for all players and officials.
Australia’s national women’s team, the Hockeyroos, are currently ranked no. 5 in the world, and will be out to do their best at the Commonwealth Games in April.
