National Volunteer Week – Thanks to all of you!
May 21, 2024It’s National Volunteer Week from May 20 to 26, so we are celebrating and thanking volunteers!
The theme for this year is ‘Something for Everyone’.
There are a huge range of opportunities and causes to support in our community, and National Volunteer Week is an invitation to explore them. There’s a place for everyone in the world of volunteering, and your unique skills and interests will be greatly appreciated.
Volunteering has huge benefits to the community you are part of as well as individual benefits when people find their meaningful role in making a difference.
Our hockey community is very lucky to have volunteers who are happy to pitch in and help with a wide variety of roles.
Thanks to all our club officials, coaches, team managers, umpires and canteen helpers. And every little bit helps!
Extra special thanks to the awesome volunteers who helped clean and spruce up the pavilion and surrounds at Stead Park this week.
