2025 School Hockey Roadshows
January 28, 20252024 was a very busy year for the Hockey Geelong Recruiting team with more than 4900 students learning hockey skills during class time. The practical experience of the Roadshow sessions allows students to get a taste of what the game is about and offers them the chance to learn more at Hookin2Hockey programs outside of school.
We are now gearing up for the 2025 season and look forward to the opportunity to share our sport with the Geelong community. We welcome new members – beginners or experienced players and those returning to the field.
Our initial 2025 Hockey Roadshows will run from February 17 to March 7, with the support of Hockey Victoria and coach Rachel Moon. We will be visiting these schools:
- Torquay P-6 College, February 17 & 18
- Lisieux Catholic Primary School, February 19 & 20
- Chilwell Primary School, February 24 & 25
- Roslyn Primary School, February 26
- Tate St Primary School, February 27
- Lara Primary School, February 28 & March 3
- Grovedale West Primary School, March 4 & 5
- St Thomas Primary School (Drysdale), March 6 & 7

The School Hockey Roadshows will be followed by Hookin2Hockey programs, where children aged 5 to 12 can learn the basic skills of hockey in a fun environment. It’s free to attend the first session and equipment is provided for use during the program.
