Talented young hockey players aspiring to represent Victoria at the U16 Australian Championships are encouraged to register and participate in the Open Player Assessment sessions on Sunday 1st of February.
You are eligible for this program if you are 16 years or under on the 31st of December 11:59pm, 2026. If you are turning 17 in 2026, you are ineligible for this event.
The Open Player Assessment is the only opportunity for non-academy members to be assessed and qualify to attend the first state team trial session (FPA1).
The Open Player Assessment session provides you with an opportunity to refine your existing skills, as well as learn some new and exciting ones. You will also get the opportunity to train with players of a similar age and ability from a range of clubs.
