Team entries for the 2026 Standout Cup close on Sunday February 8.

The SOC is a spectacular event that really kicks off the start of the Hockey year for the community. We love the continual support for the LGBTQI+ community you have shown year-on-year, and we hope you join us and Proud 2 Play next month!

We are advertising for the role of Hockey Geelong Junior Development Coach.

This is a flexible and paid position at an hourly rate.

The successful applicant will have the:
1. experience in successful junior coaching
2. ability to relate well to juniors
3. capability of developing sequential and evidence based programs to support this role
4. willingness to work with our High-Performance Director and local and rep teams in small and large groups

Send expressions of interest to Nette Williams, who will forward the position description.

Hockey Roadshows in local primary schools begin on February 16, and we are keen to have more schools join our program. Can you encourage your child`s school to host a program?

Volunteers to assist with Roadshow sessions during school hours are needed too!

We are hoping for a fantastic turnout at our Hookin2Hockey programs starting in March. Come and Play Hockey!

Umpires Wanted!

In every hockey game, you need two umpires out there — they’re essential to making sure the game happens at all.

In field hockey, two umpires share the job of watching the whole field, calling fouls, keeping score and making sure the match is fair and safe for everyone. They make the calls using their whistles and hand signals, keep the game flowing, and help sort things out so players, coaches and spectators can just enjoy the game.
