HookIn2Hockey
HookIn2Hockey is designed to introduce boys and girls aged 5 to 12 to the game of hockey. Participants learn the skills and strategies of hockey in a safe, fun and welcoming environment, so previous experience is not needed. Games are played on smaller fields, with fewer players so everyone gets involved in the game, leading to development of confidence and self-esteem.
Joining a Hookin2Hockey program is a great way to make new friends, and can be the beginning of a lifelong love of hockey, with the future possibility of representing Victoria, and even Australia at the Olympic Games.
Where can you join a Hookin2Hockey program in Geelong?
There are Hookin2Hockey programs beginning in Term 1 in February, 2025, and running for 4 to 5 weeks.
It’s free to attend your first session and equipment is provided for use during the program. There is a fee to participate in all the sessions in the program, which provides membership of Hockey Victoria and insurance until 31/12/2025. Participants who continue on and join a team to continue playing at the end of the Hookin2Hockey program will not need to pay the Hockey Victoria fee again in 2025.
