๐Ÿ‘ Volunteers Wanted โ€“ Grand Final Day!

Grand Final Day on Saturday August 22 is going to be a fantastic celebration of hockey, with a full day of exciting matches and plenty happening around the grounds!

Weโ€™re looking for volunteers to help make the day a success. Whether you can help for an hour, a few hours, or the whole day, every bit of support is greatly appreciated.

๐Ÿ“ท Volunteer photographer to take photos during the day of matches, team presentations, awards recipients, spectators enjoying the day. It does not have to be the whole day โ€“ just let us know when you might be able to help. We are happy to work with you and your availability.

๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ Help set up and/ or pack up the marquees which will be used as canteen and shelter as the pavilion is not available. Demolition on the old pavilion has begun.

๐Ÿช‘ Put out stools from the old changerooms, currently stored in the shipping container, along the fence.

๐Ÿšป Assist with keeping toilets clean โ€“ checked every hour, floors mopped, rubbish emptied.

๐Ÿ›‘ Mark out no parking areas and players areas with cones.

๐Ÿšฎ Put bins put out from the fenced area near the containers to around the fence line โ€“ and bring them back in at the end of the day.

๐Ÿšš Food will be provided via a number of food trucks plus a BBQ (thanks to Saints Hockey Club). More details of these in a few days. The food trucks will be located on the East side towards the city end of the pitch.

๐ŸŽ‰ Be part of a great day for our hockey community

Can you lend a hand? Get in touch and let us know when youโ€™re available.

Letโ€™s work together to make Grand Final Day one to remember! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘

Contact Nette Williams or Graeme Dent if you can help with any of these tasks.

Moving from Old to New! We are almost there!

The old pavilion has been completely cleared out as we prepare to move to fantastic new facilities!

Club and Association equipment, including chairs, tables and drinks, has been moved and is now stored in labelled cages in the long container with the windows at the South end of the pitch. The container is well lit and can be accessed via the double black gates near the drinking water tap as well as from outside the fence on the dugout side.

The First Aid room is also located in a separate building in this area and is fully set up and ready for use, with the same access arrangements.

Important Information
๐Ÿ‘‰ Ice: The only available ice is currently in the pitch freezer. Please let us know if you notice that the supply has run out.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Injuries: If anybody is injured please ensure the injury book is completed.
๐Ÿ‘‰Toilets: Four portable toilets are currently open and available for use. The permanent toilets, between the cage room and First Aid room, will be available once the building is formally handed over.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding during the move and while we are without clubrooms. We appreciate that this is inconvenient, but unfortunately the timing was unavoidable due to Council timelines as previously advised.

We appreciate everyoneโ€™s cooperation is complete the final stage. Please donโ€™t hesitate to contact Nette Williams if you have any questions.
