
The 2016 Winter Season Women’s Round is scheduled to be celebrated at all women & girls matches fixtured between Friday May 6 and Wednesday May 11.
As part of the celebrations, Hockey Victoria has struck a medal to be awarded to the MVP (Most Valuable Player) in each of these matches.
The umpires of each game will be asked to confer at the conclusion of the match and present the medal to the winning player.

Hockey Geelong is supporting this initiative by selling pink wrist bands engraved with “Supporting Women in Sport” for $3 and pink shoelaces for $2 a pair.
