As both Stead Park and Lloyd Reserve facilities are owned by the City of Greater Geelong, their use by the Geelong Hockey Association and affiliated clubs is dependent on Council granting access.
We have received the following note from the Council this week.
Dear Community Tenant,
Thank you for your ongoing efforts in keeping our community safe during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Council is currently working to assess how community groups and sporting clubs can operate and for now, we ask our tenants to refrain from accessing Council buildings, facilities and sporting grounds.
Once we have confirmed a safe reactivation process, we will notify you of the requirements and provide you with the necessary information in line with the latest restricted activity directions<https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/state-emergency>.

The Executive Committee of the Geelong Hockey Association has recently spent some time discussing the steps necessary to return to training, and hopefully to games. The Committee is meeting again this week to prepare Site Management Plans for both sites, and will submit them to the Council for approval. The Site Management Plans will need to match both HV and CoGG requirements, with site specific details.
