Level 1 Coach & Community Coach Workshops

Hockey Victoria and the Geelong Hockey Association are offering both a Level 1 Coach  and a Community Coach Workshop, to be held at Stead Park, Corio.

The Level 1 Coach training program is designed to train coaches in the fundamental concepts of coaching, including the basic skills, group management and organisation, developing effective training sessions, performing the role of match day coach, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of players.

The program is directed towards teachers, parents, players and coaches who are involved in cocahing modified versions of the game or beginner level club hockey.

Cost: $50 as part of the Hockey Australia HockeyEd program.

There’s also a Community Coach Workshop on the same day from 10.00 am to 12.00! This course is FREE.

The Community Coach training program is designed to train new coaches in the basic concepts of coaching including group management and organisation, conducting modified games, and activity safety and enjoyment.

The program is directed towards teachers, parents, and other new coaches who are involved in Hookin2Hockey and modified versions of the game.
