With the new facility at Stead Park on the horizon marking a new era for Hockey Geelong (HG), it is also an opportunity to reimagine our HG logo.

In 2025, Hockey Geelong is made up of six vibrant, passionate and inclusive clubs:
Corio, Geelong Jaguars, Newtown, Saints, Torquay, and Sharks.

For over 20 years, our wave logo has proudly carried our hockey communities identity — inspired by the ocean that surrounds us and the movement that defines our sport.

The refreshed logo design should reflect unity and be able to honour the past whilst embracing the future:
Blue and white link us unmistakably to Geelong.
Green pays tribute to the original uniforms that shaped our early story.
The addition of the vibrant hot pink, celebrates the women at the heart of our sport.

The 6 (Six) distinct elements in each of the designs, represent the 6 pillars of our 2025 competition: Corio, Geelong Jaguars, Newtown, Saints, Torquay, and Sharks.

The logo, should be a visual identity that is recognisable and meaningful across multiple platforms.

A symbol for the next generation of players, supporters and officials who will guide our vision into the future.

Six clubs. One vision. Hockey Geelong.

Clubs and club members are invited to consider these four proposed logo designs and provide feedback regarding the preferred design by 15 July 2025

Hockey Geelong offers local primary schools the opportunity to participate in our annual program of practical hockey sessions conducted in the school during class times.

The sessions can run as Hockey Roadshows, with one-off sessions for each class, or Sporting Schools programs with multiple sessions for each class.

The program allows students to experience hockey, often for the first time, and learn the basic skills and perhaps to discover that they enjoy the game.

The 2025 year has so far included 18 schools who have hosted hockey programs, allowing nearly 3200 students to learn about hockey.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with school programs booked in Terms 3 and 4. If you have some time during school hours we would love your help.

On Tuesday, 24th June Hockey Geelong executive hosted representatives from each club for a dinner at the Shell Club.

It was a good opportunity for officials from the clubs to mix socially with others. It was also a chance for our executive to spend time with those from the clubs to hear of their success and challenges.

It was a well received evening and we are sure the club officials felt valued. The officials from each club are the ones that keep our local competition thriving.

It was also an opportunity for Hockey Geelong to support the Shell Club who has become a valued sponsor.
