The session will be presented by Jamie Crain (CEO SMA) and Mitch Jarvis (Manager Education & Training SMA). It will cover the following areas:
- The new Guidelines – Why have we changed?
- Who developed them?
- Key elements of the Guidelines
- Graded Return to Sport Framework – how does it work?
- The role of Concussion Officer
Jamie Crain has been CEO of SMA since early 2021, having held senior commercial roles within blue-chip organisations in a variety of industries over a 25 year career including airlines, energy, automotive and member-based organisations. He sees SMA as an important advocate for enhancing the health outcomes of the community through improved knowledge and education in an ever-evolving field of sports medicine.
Mitch Jarvis is the Manager, Education and Training at SMA, where for over a decade he has collaborated with a diverse array of stakeholders across the sporting industry primarily in the delivery of education. His extensive experience has provided him with valuable insights into the educational needs of those involved in community sports, enhancing his ability to effectively lead educational initiatives and training programs.
