On August 2nd, the first Umpire Developer Briefing was held at Stead Park, aimed at junior umpires eager to learn more about officiating and gaining confidence in managing games. The session saw a strong turnout with 14 participants — a great result for the first event of its kind.
Throughout the briefing, a range of important umpiring topics were covered, including wearing the correct uniform, essential equipment, positioning on the pitch, and conducting pre-game checks and discussions. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where attendees asked a number of thoughtful and insightful questions.
