Calling young artists!

On Tuesday 14th October, Graeme Dent will be walking around pitch 2 and inviting juniors to design artwork about hockey for areas of the new building.

This is very exciting for juniors to be involved in the redevelopment and have their artwork used and displayed on the external light poles and the glass wall along the corridor in the second level of the building.

Development Victoria are part of this initiative and will be very involved. The initial discussions with juniors will be on 14th October and what is involved and the process will be explained after your games, to the children and families acknowledging those who wish to be involved.

Tuesday 21 October will be the first meeting at a time that is convenient for all. The children will be given paper and pens and asked to design work for the redevelopment. This may take about 40 minutes or so after your match and will be in the clubrooms.  Development Victoria staff will attend and take the ideas away and develop them.
The follow-up meeting will be on Tuesday 11 November. At this meeting plans will be presented to the children for discussion.

The Hockey Geelong committee are very excited to get involvement from our younger members and for their artwork to be displayed in a commercially produced vinyl wrap for everybody to see and enjoy.

Be part of it all!!
