Here are some helpful tips if you are getting ready to register for the 2026 Winter Hockey Season.
DID YOU KNOW?
Hockey Victoria Memberships run from 1 st January to 31 st December each year
There is only ONE full HV membership payment required to play! Clubs will also have their own fees for members to participate.
A full HV membership covers you for all games you want to play:
– Winter 2026
– Start of summer season 2026/2027, played Oct – Dec
– End of summer season 2025/2026, played in Jan/Feb
– Local competition, Sharks and other Association games
– Indoor competition
– State representative teams and programs
HELPFUL HINTS
Your primary club should be your local club. This also makes you eligible to play for the Hockey Geelong Sharks without having to register again for the Sharks. If it triggers a transfer that’s ok.
Remember we want your local club to be the Primary club to bolster the club numbers associated with Hockey Geelong. It’s ok to wait for the transfer so your local club is your Primary club.

Select your local club under Regional Associations.

Full membership
– choose the appropriate registration for your age group e.g. if you are aged 16 and playing in a senior competition, you still need to choose the ‘Junior Player’ option.
5 game membership
– only choose this if you are unsure about playing the whole season
– not to be used for the number of games you might play for another team
– this can only be used for 1 team/club – not multiple
– if you change your mind and want to play more, we need to process an upgrade, and you will pay the difference.
Do not process a 5-game membership if you have already paid a full membership.
