Exciting news for hockey players from the Surf Coast and beyond!
Work has started on the new Banyul-Warri Fields Hockey Pitch in north Torquay, funded through the Victorian Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.
The project includes a new synthetic hockey pitch with LED lighting, electronic scoreboard, sheltered spectator seating, and a new car park.
The venue will be home to Torquay Tornadoes Hockey Club, which is excited to welcome a local facility to play and train on.
Construction works on the pitch are anticipated to be complete by early 2026.
Weâre proud to team up with the Victorian Government to deliver another important project in the Banyul-Warri Fields sporting precinct.
