The Children`s Art Workshop on Friday 24th October gave children a chance to contribute to the design of the vinyl wraps for the outside poles and the frosted glass on the exterior of the board room in the new pavilion.

Eight children joined Development Victoria to workshop various ideas. When the children were asked to describe Stead Park and Hockey, the responses included “feeling safe”, “having fun” and “enjoying playing hockey with their friends”.

Thanks to the families for bringing their children and to the various people who travelled from Melbourne for the workshop.

There will be a follow-up workshop in two or three weeks.

✅ A new two-storey pavilion with change rooms, canteen, social space and terrace seating
✅ Upgrades to the western pitch, including a new playing surface, lighting and electronic scoreboard
✅ Additional car parking and a new access road

Works are expected to be completed in late 2026.
