REGISTRATIONS ALSO OPEN FOR ELITE SKILL DEVELOPMENT DAYS

U15 National Championships in Narellan NSW, April 8-14th 2019
U18 National Championships in Hobart TAS, April 9-17th 2019

I want to attend the  Elite Skill Development Day (ESDD), but I don’t want to nominate for a State Team?
Yes, Players CAN attend the ESDD without nominating for a State Team, but register ASAP as places fill quickly.
The Elite Skill Development Days provide an opportunity to refine existing skills, as well as learn some new and exciting ones.
You also get the opportunity to train with players of a similar age and ability from a range of clubs.

The ESDD is targeted towards those who have played at zone level or higher. If you are unsure if these days are suitable for you/your child please contact Phil Burrows ([email protected]) for guidance. Players will be placed into groups of approximately 11, based on age and ability.
All groups will be coached by State and Victoria Institute of Sport players and coaches, many of whom are Hockey Victoria Academy coaches. All groups will complete a range of drills and modified games, then there will be the chance to practice the skills in match play at the end of each day.

I want to nominate for a State Team – what do I do?
Players wishing to nominate for State Teams must be invited to trial. To get the opportunity to make it on the Final Player Assessment list, players MUST either:

  • be a participant in the 2018 Hockey Vic Academy programme, or
  • have been in a relevant State Team in 2018 (excluding White teams and train-ons), or
  • attend an Elite Skill Development Day for assessment
