The Hockey Geelong Committee of Management is considering various scenarios for what Season 2020 (The Covid/Corona Cup) may look like. Until we are able to resume regular practices we will continue to be guided by the relevant governing authorities in regard to resuming both training and games.
The date given by Hockey Victoria of May 31st will still stand as commencement for Season 2020, but will be reviewed and communicated to our members as more information comes to light. We will endeavour to provide you with timely communication and at this stage will be reviewing our options month by month.
This is an unprecedented and difficult time for all. We appreciate your support as we attempt to navigate this situation over the coming months.
We are hopeful that we will be playing hockey in 2020 and look forward to being able to see everyone out enjoying a hit in the not too distant future.
In the mean time stay safe and take care.
Note also the recent update from Hockey Victoria. Hockey Victoria are considering the question of whether any refunds will be given for Hockey Victoria fees already paid by members. This will be affected by the format of the season.
Hockey Victoria are planning to conduct further Level 1 Coach, Umpire and Technical Official courses, delivered in an online format. Stay tuned for more details.
