Project 1200 Ideas!

We have gathered some ideas to progress Project 1200. We welcome your views and possible contributions to the following areas:

1. HookIn2hockey – revamp and deliver in a different manner
2. Junior Player Poster – undertaken and has been successful. Junior players design and display a poster encouraging hockey. They take a photo; it is posted on our website and they receive a reward from the canteen. See details below.
3. Come and Try Clinic BRING A FRIEND during the school holidays.
4. Come and Try Clinic BRING A FRIEND under lights on a Friday night.
5. Local Clubs research a list of past players to encourage them back to hockey. List is divided up amongst current players and they ring say four people each.
6. Local Clubs sign up players from summer hockey.
7. Clubs sign up players from Mediocre Mondays.
8. GHA purchase hockey kits from Just Hockey during their end of season sale.
9. Winter Season Advertise a “Come Back To Hockey” day with refreshments.
10. ‘Where are they now?’ poster in the clubrooms.
11. Expand Monday night hockey and include children to allow parents to attend.
12. Website – VIDEOS of current players talking about “WHY I PLAY HOCKEY”
13. School day hockey at Stead Park design and hand out a flyer to encourage players to join a club.

PROJECT 1200 WE NEED YOUR HELP

This is a project to get our playing numbers in the GHA to 1200 which was the number in 2016. It is currently about 765 and we need you to help.

We want you to draw a poster encouraging young people like you to play hockey.

It needs to have in it:
Project 1200, Geelong Hockey Association, Come Play Hockey at Stead Park and our website address. Also include your name please.

We also want you to post it at school or in a local shop or another place where people will see it. Please get permission. Then you take a picture of it with your name and where the poster is, sending it to either:

We shall post your poster on the GHA webpage and you will receive a free snack and drink from the canteen. We thank you for your help.
