Australian Country Challenge

The Australian Country Challenge is on from 6-13 August in Albany, WA. The competition includes Country teams from Victoria, NSW, SA, QLD, Australian Defence forces (ADF) and WA.
Both the men’s and the women’s Country teams will be competing at the same venue and time, so there will be over 200 players participating in the 12 teams.
And there are plenty of Hockey Geelong Sharks players in the the Hockey Victoria Country teams – a huge achievement for local players.

Geelong have 7 women and the team manager in the Hockey Victoria Women’s team – Ellen Chaplin, Merryn Coffey, Emma Hatton, Olivia Jenkins, Kelsey Ratcliffe, Kahlua Smart, Rhea Sutton. Team Manager Gillian Armstead
On Day 3 of the tournament, Hockey Victoria Women have 2 wins from 3 matches and the Men have 1 draw from 2 matches.
