Thanks to Peter Hill for managing the Hockey Geelong team in the Open Men’s competition at the Kings Birthday tournament held in Bendigo.
Hockey Geelong entered a team into this tournament but we did not initially have enough players to fill the team. Luckily, Jake managed to find some extras and the team took to the field with enthusiasm.
The team did not manage to win any games over the weekend but what they did do was manage to bond together as a team. They improved and worked as a team better in each game.
No negative comments were heard from the players, only positive comments. I believe that those who participated had fun despite the cold and wet conditions.
