Safety During Construction
To help keep everyone safe, please take a moment to read the updated access and safety information.
Please refer to the below site layout for updated access points, facility locations, and construction areas.
We’ve updated our user instructions based on shared user space and active construction site. These zones are important for:
- Ensuring safe use of the facility
- Avoiding restricted areas
By continuing to use the Hockey Centre, you agree to follow these safety guidelines and staff directions. Let’s work together to keep the space safe, respectful, and accessible for all.
- Getting In
- Entry: Use the David Burns entry gates and follow the pedestrian pathway shown on the map in green. Please do not try to cross through any construction access points.
- Opening Times: Our operational times are as per the Games Schedule uploaded to the Hockey Geelong Website https://www.revolutionise.com.au/geelongha/games/
- Safety First
- No safety gear is required but always stick to the marked walkways.
- Construction areas marked red on the map are strictly off-limits at all times.
- Familiarize yourself with the building’s emergency exits and assembly points
- Parking & Transport
- Parking: Use the designated visitor parking area only.
- Bike: Provided near the entrance. Lock your bike securely.
- Public Transport: School Bus stops and drop off zones are as per usual.
We will communicate further when upgrade works to the Carparks commences.
- Using the Hockey Centre
- Changing Rooms & Toilets: No changes. Located within the existing Pavillion.
- Booking Sports Facilities: All use must be booked in advance via https://www.hockeygeelong.asn.au/about/grounds/stead-park
- Games Schedule: Games schedules will be communicated via Hockey Geelong website, as per usual. https://www.revolutionise.com.au/geelongha/games/
- While on Site
- Supervision: Children under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Please don’t hang around in the walkways or near construction areas.
- If you see anything unsafe or out of place, let Graeme Dent know right away.

- First Aid: Available onsite at First Aid Room. Staff are to ensure their basic first aid is current.
