The 2026 Junior Country Championships (JCC) will be held over the weekend of May 16 & 17.
The JCC is organised by Hockey Victoria to showcase regional Victoria’s most talented junior players. Geelong Hockey Association teams will play in a round robin style event against teams from other Victorian Regional Associations with approximately 5 or 6 matches over the weekend, including pool matches, finals and minor placing matches.
Age groups are Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 for boys and girls only competitions.
Age groups are determined by the player’s age on January 1, 2026.
- Under 14 – born on or after 1 January 2012
- Under 16 – Born on or after 1 January 2010
- Under 18 – Born on or after 1 January 2008
(Please note, there is no local U14 or U16 club hockey scheduled in Geelong on the JCC weekend.)
Any player who is registered to play hockey in the Geelong Hockey Association is eligible to nominate.

Payment and team details will be circulated once the teams are confirmed, after the nomination closing date.
Every team needs Coaches and Managers, so we are also keen to hear from parents or family members who are interested in being involved as team officials (coaches, assistants and team managers) and also umpires, so please add your details to the player nomination form if you are able to help.
(Fee discounts are available for players whose parents volunteer as team officials for the JCC weekend.)
