Powercor needs to undertake work at Stead Park on Sunday and the power will be disconnected from 8.00am to 3.00pm.
Hockey Geelong has decided to continue the games but we must adhere to the following conditions:
1. Upon arrival you may park on the asphalt BUT PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS AREA BEHIND THE CLUBROOMS DUE TO POWERCOR NEEDING VEHICLE ACCESS.
2. You may enter in the normal way via the gate but only if you wish to enter the clubrooms.
3. Once at the clubrooms you will not be able to access pitch 2 in the normal way.
4. If you wish to enter pitch 2 directly you can park on the asphalt and then walk around via St Georges road OR park your vehicle on the grass on the east side of pitch 2.
5. Enter pitch 2 via the gate behind the dugout on pitch 2.
6. The scoreboard will not be operating.
7. Clubrooms are available for use of the toilets.
8. The canteen will not be operating as such but we are hoping to provide some items.
9. As Powercor is working at Stead park it is a LIVE site and under no circumstances may you enter any other areas than the clubrooms or pitch 2 via the back of the dugout.
10. The alternative was to cancel the games but we felt we can work with the restrictions.
11 Powercor tells us the power will be off from 8.00am to 3.00pm. There is a 5.00pm game that will require lights and our expectation is that the power will be back on by then.
