1. U12 PLAYER NOMINATIONS — CLOSING WEDNESDAY, 15 APRIL AT 5:00PM
Player nominations for the U12s squad are still open and we are urging all clubs to actively promote this to your members, coaches, and hockey families as soon as possible. Nominations close this Wednesday, 15 April 2026 at 5:00pm sharp — we don’t want any eligible players to miss out!

2. U12 GIRLS GOALKEEPER NOMINATIONS
We have an urgent need for U12 Girls Goalkeeper nominations ahead of the trials. If your club has a young goalkeeper who meets the age criteria and hasn’t yet nominated, please reach out to them and their families directly and encourage them to register as soon as possible.

3. U12 COACH NOMINATIONS — BOYS & GIRLS TEAMS
We are also seeking coach nominations for both our U12 Boys and U12 Girls teams. If you have a passionate and dedicated coach at your club who would be well suited to this role, please encourage them to put their hand up!
Coaching Structure:
- U12 — one Head Coach per team
Minimum Requirements:
- Level 1 Coaching Accreditation — or be actively working towards achieving it in 2026

4. TRIAL COACHES & SELECTORS NEEDED — SUNDAY, 19 APRIL 2026
We are also seeking trial coaches and selector volunteers for the U12 trials. These are critical roles and we simply cannot run the trials without your club’s support!
Trial Details:
- Date: Sunday, 19 April 2026
- Time: 7:45am – 10:00am
- Venue: Footscray Hockey Club, Fogarty Ave, Yarraville VIC 3013
Selector Criteria:
- Ideal number of selectors per trial is 3
- Selectors must come from different clubs within the Zone — no two selectors from the same club
- A minimum of 2 selectors is required for the trial to proceed
- A maximum of 4 selectors per trial
