The Hockey Victoria Junior competitions begin, with HG Sharks having teams in U14 Boys and Girls, and U16 Boys and Girls.  

The Hockey Victoria Metropolitan competitions for senior teams begin. Hockey Geelong Sharks have mens and womens teams in Vic League 1 and Vic League 1 Reserves, plus men in Pennant C.
