Hockey Geelong welcomes all of our community to attend the Senior and Under 16 Grand Final Day this Saturday. Games commence from 9.00am and plenty of action is promised.
Hockey Geelong congratulates all players, coaches, umpires and officials who will participate on this special day.
A very special thank you to all the families who have transported their children throughout the season as well as the senior players.
One of our many attributes is our local competition. Strong local clubs mean a stronger association.
We know that all present will respect the proceedings and support in the correct manner. Just some of the presentations will be inductions into the Hall of Fame as well as well as awarding the John Stephenson Award. It will also be the occasion for awarding the President’s Trophy for the leading local club of 2025. There shall also be many other awards presented acknowledging the worthy winners.
It will be the last time we play on the Jim Kirk Pitch 1 before it is upgraded and we are excited that Jim’s son Alex shall be tossing the coin for the last game. Jim was a past President and leading light. Although no longer with us, Jim’s legacy in all things has continued.
We hope you are able to attend the day and stay around in the clubrooms after the games to toast the season that was and discuss the amazing developments ahead. Hockey Geelong shall be providing some pizzas to go along with your drinks as appreciation of your support this year.
