Two teams from Geelong participated in the 2025 Diwali & Bandi Chhor Diwas Hockey Cup hosted by Craigieburn Falcons Hockey Club. The teams included players from Geelong, Torquay, Newtown, Saints, Hawthorn, Brunswick, Footscray and West Vic hockey clubs.
The last game for the men’s team was a mixed team, with some players having to leave early for night time commitments. Thanks to those who filled in to ensure that the game went ahead.
The Men’s team finished in 5th position and the Ladies team in 3rd position. The day provided lots of fun and laughter, with the hosts being very welcoming and providing lunch and morning tea.
