Week 2 of the 2026 Roadshow program saw visits to Montpellier Primary School, Chilwell Primary School, Lisieux Catholic Primary School, Anglesea Primary School, Fyans Park Primary School and Northern Bay College.
Visits to the 8 schools (including 3 from last week) so far has seen over 1300 children participate in a hockey session during class time at the school. There were some great skills and very enthusiastic participants all learning some of the basic skills of hockey. Many of the children had not had any hockey experience prior to this and enjoyed finding out about hockey.
The visit to Lisieux provided those students with the opportunity to ask questions of Deb Barnett about her experience playing in two Olympic Games for Canada.
Week 3 will see further hockey sessions at Grovedale West Primary School, St Leonards Primary School and Little River Primary School.
Thanks to volunteer coaches from our affiliated clubs for their help in providing these clinics, assisting Rachel Moon who is appointed by Hockey Victoria to lead the Roadshows sessions.
