Ronda Braybrook
5/7/1943 –11/3/2015
It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Ronda Braybrook a life member of Geelong Hockey Association. You might also have remembered her as Ronda Collings. Many past and current senior players will have known Ronda in the days of Geelong Women’s Hockey Association. She was a member of Geelong Hockey Club and played in the senior women’s team as well as Geelong representative teams. She was President of the Geelong Women’s Hockey Association and was integral with the Women’s committee in establishing what is now the Geelong Hockey Association. Ronda was instrumental in establishing a sound base for women’s hockey in Geelong along with the late Margaret Murray, Sheryl Mackie, Lyn Tout, Jan Adams and Jean Jansen. Country weekend womens hockey was enjoyed by players from all over Victoria and many will remember her enthusiasm and energy that she gave to women’s hockey.
We express our sympathy to Ronda’s family.
