Geelong Hockey Association Seeking Coaches
November 14, 2015Hockey Geelong is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and suitably qualified coaches to guide our teams through the 2016 season and beyond!
Hockey Geelong entered 5 senior teams in 2015:
Women:
Vic League 1
Vic League 1 Reserve
Men:
Vic League 1
Vic League 1 Reserve
Pennant D
The following attributes are essential:
- excellent communication skills
- experience in developing and engaging juniors and young players
- solid game plans and a variety of coaching styles
- strong leadership qualities
- advanced technical and strategic thinking skills
- Our aim is to have both the Men’s and Women’s teams in Victoria’s Premier League 2017 – 2020.
Coaches will need to be qualified under the Hockey Australia Hockey Ed Coaching programme (or the equivalent overseas’ status). Applicants would ideally have a Level 2 Coaching certification, or be committed to attaining such qualification upon appointment. Applicants who have played or coached at State League 1 (Vic Premier League) level or equivalent would be highly regarded.
All coaches are required to have a current Working with Children’s accreditation.
Interested applicants should send their hockey coaching/playing CV highlighting their experience, basic outline of their coaching plan and training philosophy.
Only applications containing details of the applicant’s coaching/training plans will be considered.
A remuneration package for the successful candidate will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
