Geelong Hockey Association Needs You!

Message From the President:

To all the members of the Geelong Hockey Association.

After a lot of consideration, I have decided not to nominate for any positions at this years AGM which will effectively end a 47 year affiliation with the sport I have loved and enjoyed with my family and a lot of friends along the way.

What I am writing to you all is asking each and everyone of you what can I do to ensure that Hockey in Geelong continues to prosper and grow. A little-known fact is that currently we have five people on the executive that are over 60, whilst they have done an outstanding job in difficult times it is not hard to ascertain that this situation is not sustainable. The GHA now needs younger leaders to continue to take our sport forward into the next decade and beyond and that can be you.

Our AGM is on the 25th of November and we now want people to consider filling some of the positions vacant. I know this can be a daunting prospect, but we have a great community of people in our sport and we now need to bring this community closer together and ensure we go forward. You can be the catalyst of change please think long and hard and see if you are the person to put their hand up.

Hockey Needs you NOW.

Yours In Hockey

Alan Climpson

President Geelong Hockey Association
